About me

Welcome to my personal website!

I am Yu Nu, an Assistant Professor of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business, the University of South Carolina. I received my Ph.D. degree in Operations, Technology, and Information Management (OTIM) from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University/Cornell Tech in 2025.

My research interests are in sustainable operations and technology adoption. I study how technology, AI, and data can improve operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, with a focus on food waste reduction in commercial kitchens, human-centric perishable inventory management, and more recently, electric vehicle charging and energy saving. I use full stack of data tools, including causal inference analyses, machine learning techniques, data-driven optimization strategies, and experiments.
